The most common information most people would look for when engaging a photographer’s services would be on the qualifications and training he or she has undertaken. It is not often that one comes across self-taught photographers who are successful and sought after. Zain Abdullah falls into this category. This Malaysian photographer’s art work is interesting, intriguing and stands among those who have formal photography training and qualifications and to be self-taught, he is one of the few who have carved an established name for himself. Sammy Khoo

Sammy Khoo is one of the most unique photographers in Malaysia. Her passion is mainly with photographing women. In fact, some of her best works are those with pregnant women where she uses make-over techniques to help them express their inner beauty outwardly.
Sammy has been involved with many photographic assignments where she had previously worked behind the stage in commercials while working with make-up artists, directors, stylists and cinematographers. These elements and experiences have helped her to learn the tools and skills of lighting, angles, make up and such all of which she put them into practice in her shots today.
Using state-of-the-art and hi-end digital equipments, she is able to enact shots which are often not achievable by the conventional photographers. (continue reading…)
Zulraidi Affendi

Zulraid Affendi or more fondly known as Eddie to his close friends and family is one of the most established photographers in Malaysia having been involved in this art for more than 15 years. This accomplished photographer is also an avid videographer where he started off taking pictures when he was 10 years of age. It was only when he was 15 that he had his first camera and a year later had his first video camera.
Eddi holds a Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Enginnering where he graduated from the University of Manchester in the UK. Despite that, his passion for photography never waned but grew more when he was able to shoot the Eid Mubarak Photovideo for Malaysian students in the UK which was featured in TV3’s Sampaikan Salam programme. Eddie likes to travel and he would use these trips to take photos of the places and his experiences. He had previously been involved twice with the Kelana Convoy at the European Tour where he has been able to visit and take snapshots of the UK, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Ireland.
