by james on Feb.14, 2012, under Photographers

To Jon Low, photography only became a serious profession after his group of friends gave him a digital camera for his birthday. The Malaysian photographer, who takes this art very passionately had his first Kodak LS420, compliments from his friends began to realize that he had the talent in this art form where he began spending more on equipments after buying his first DSLR camera which is the Canon EOS 300D.

Photography for Jon began as a hobby where he used it to snap moments which were fun, candid and just memorable. After buying his DSLR, he took photography more seriously and his skills began to take shape where he was then assigned to be the photographer at events and such. He would then set up Wedding Studios before renaming it to Jon Low Studios where it would be the platform to showcase his unique body of work in photography.

Jon is born and bred in Kuala Lumpur and has been a wedding photographer since 2007 where his principles about weddings is the day where family and friends gather to commemorate and celebrate the special day. This is when everyone makes the extra effort to dress up and look good and it offers a great opportunity to take the moments where everyone is dressed to their best. It is not often that one gets the chance of having such a collective effort among your circle of friends who actually looks good, happy and in such a positive environment.

This is the best time for them to stand in front of the camera and strike their best posts while Jon is also able to capture the candid moments that comes with it.A member of the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographer International), Jon is also involved in other related assignments like Engagement Portraits and Wedding Portraits Photography apart from the usual Wedding Day photography.
