Steven Leong is an established professional Malaysian photographer here he is based in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Steven is known to be open to different types of assignments where he is open to new challenges when required. He has been involved in numerous types of photography where his experience is very diverse that had previously covered the likes of editorial work for magazines, wedding photography, product shooting, fashion shows as well as in sports. His current works are very much into the less conventional where he has since been involved with travel and event shooting while he also likes nature, landscapes and macro photography in his own non-professional capacity.
He is the Official Photographer for the Asian Paralympic Committee while he is involved with golf photography. His involvement with the Paralympic Committee has enabled him to expand his photography skills and techniques in covering almost all the Paralympic events at the Asian and ASEAN Para Games. One of his photos was also recently selected by the WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association) for the 1st prize for lit portraits during their Q3 2011 competition last year, an accolade not easily garnered by many Malaysian photographers.
Steven takes photographer very seriously because apart from being his job, it is also his passion which means that he is living the dream which many people cannot. He takes it very seriously where he does not compromise on the excellence of his work and constantly strive to offer the best in his works and delivery. As a photographer, his works have since been published in various newspapers and magazines like Nanyang Shang Pau, The Star, New Straits Times, China Press, Asia Photography, Building & Investments, The Golf Digest, Bridal Guide and others. He has since worked with various corporate companies that include Canon Malaysia, Khazanah Nasional, Maxis Communications, Raffles Design Institute and many more.
