Zulraid Affendi or more fondly known as Eddie to his close friends and family is one of the most established photographers in Malaysia having been involved in this art for more than 15 years. This accomplished photographer is also an avid videographer where he started off taking pictures when he was 10 years of age. It was only when he was 15 that he had his first camera and a year later had his first video camera.

Eddi holds a Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Enginnering where he graduated from the University of Manchester in the UK. Despite that, his passion for photography never waned but grew more when he was able to shoot the Eid Mubarak Photovideo for Malaysian students in the UK which was featured in TV3’s Sampaikan Salam programme. Eddie likes to travel and he would use these trips to take photos of the places and his experiences. He had previously been involved twice with the Kelana Convoy at the European Tour where he has been able to visit and take snapshots of the UK, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Ireland.

This was at at time before digital camera became the norm and he had to use films but it was all well worth it. After graduation, he became an engineer for 6 years where he then travelled to New Zealand where he studied digital photography part-time. This was where he began taking photography more seriously where he would start embarking onto focusing on his passion. Some of his best works were shot at New Zealand which is known to have the most spectacular sceneries and landscapes around the world.

He now operates his own photo and video studio in Sentul where his works have been published in the likes of Majalah Perempuan, Ratu Sehari, Bridal Guide, Utusan Malaysia and Berita Harian while he is actively involved with assignments like weddings, events and such.
